Dealing with a "trough" between about 500HZ and 1,200 Hz

Hello all,

While observing my audio on a spectral analyser, I see a "trough" that ranges between 500 Hz and 1.2 kHz when speaking.  I would like to bring that up some and wondered if upwards compression would be a way to do it?

Looking forward to suggestions.

Cheers,

JJ

Kotelnikov GE might be able to do this with the Frequency Dependent Ratio, you could set it so that it used higher ratios for the frequencies around that, therefore bringing the wanted frequencies up in volume. Or static or dynamic EQ. Or multi band compression. Lots of ways to skin a seal!

Hi Babaluma,

Good to see your response.    Kotelniko GE looks intriguing.

Will play around and see what I can cook up :-)

Cheers,
